DEVASTATION
Moxie, like many others in Lambertville, NJ was hit hard by Thursday night's devastation (watch video). I am overwhelmed with emotion. I am so extremely grateful for the outpouring of love and support I have received in the past 24 hours - the messages, emails, phone calls, comments, as well as the hands on help from those who were able to get here.
The devastation in Lambertville NJ is absolutely unbelievable but the coming together of a community that I witnessed today is like nothing I have ever experienced. I don't have the words to describe it.
Moxie Boutique Fitness Studio (located at Canal Studios) is a free standing studio separate from the main building and fortunately seems to have suffered significantly less damage compared to the main building (at least as far as I can tell). It looks like the water level got to around 2-3 feet (It looked to be 6-8 feet in the main building). I was able to get everything out of the studio (including the rubber flooring) with the help of Steve Juris , Dave and Sharon Kennedy Burd , Jennifer Ann , Ed Mcginnis Yudit Nunez , Robert Lynn , and Missouri Mahaney and actually made some great progress getting things cleaned up and dry.
The electronics and most of the furniture was trashed but most of the exercise equipment was salvageable (as long as it doesn't rust) and is being stored at a friend's home until I can use it.
I just saw a video on FB that Canal Studios (the main building) has been boarded up and considered "uninhabitable" (This has not been confirmed). But since my studio is a free standing building, there is no plumbing, and there doesn't seem to be significant damage (other than to my personal property), I am hoping and praying that I can get back to business doing what I love (1-on-1 personal fitness training) in the very near future!
Your love, support, and prayers are appreciated!!! ❤️ Thank you to my twin sister, Jennifer Ann Gulino (who knows how hard it is for me to ask for help) for setting up a GoFundMe. I have no words. And thank you to everyone who has donated. I submitted an insurance claim and it was declined. Nothing is covered because it is flood-related (because of the property is at high risk for flooding, flood insurance is not available). Moxie is a one-woman operation. It is my love, my passion, and my livelihood. Every dollar will help!!
Please consider donating if you can so I can get back on my feet doing what I love - changing lives and helping people BE better! Any amount, large or small, is greatly appreciated.
If you are not able to donate please share this on your page and send prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Stay tuned for updates.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the current circumstances the Moxie28 has been pushed back to October 4, 2021. The deadline to register is September 27.
