PRINCIPLE 4 – SELF-AWARENESS IS ESSENTIAL FOR CHANGE

Self-awareness is like a muscle and by building it through reflection practices, you build the ultimate “meta-habit” – a habit that improves your ability to adopt other positive habits into your life and to eliminate negative ones.

 

Most people sleepwalk through their daily choices and behaviors and often, aren’t even aware that they’re making them. You could say that they’re slaves to their unconscious behavior patterns and habits.

 

When you practice and cultivate self-awareness you become conscious of your behavior patterns, habits, and beliefs and you then have the power to change them. Having a daily practice of self-assessment and reflection will also dramatically increase your rate of personal growth and progress. For this reason, I have designed a “Weekly Review” with a combination of reflection and self-assessment questions to build and cultivate your self-awareness around your habits, behavior, beliefs, thought patterns, and progress.
